Policy

Anzir represented the CILT in the Examination in Public of Regional Planning Guidance for Yorkshire and the Humber (RPG12), as the Policy Representative for West and North Yorkshire.

Transport Plans for the London Area contains information on the development of transport infrastructure in the capital.
Transport Research Group run "alternative events on the subject of transport and urbanism"
Yorkshire & Humberside Transport Activists' Roundtable campaigns for more environmentally friendly transport policy in Yorkshire & the Humber.

Environment

Transport, particularly road transport is a key contributor to CO₂ emissions. Although significant efforts have been made in the last few years to clean up engines, the volume of road traffic continues to grow, negating much of the benefit this has given us.

The environment, in the form of weather, also impacts on the operation of transport services, and the Royal Meteorological Society organised a conference on the effects of weather on railway operation in 1999.
